It takes time
to find a
forever home

Having a large luxurious home leased for a future move-in date will reduce stress and divisiveness among future residents.  Having an established "place" secured with deposits will help the dream become a reality. The participants will be able to see the house before they commit to membership. They will know which bedroom will be theirs to dream about and have an idea about what furnishings to bring to the new house. They will know what to downsize before they move in.

First:

Secure a large house for lease for

a future date

This is a co-op. There are

no owners.

Everyone shares the expenses.

A council will be chosen to scope out an appropriate house to lease for our co-op home/center. Based on consultation with future members, the Council will consider the needs of each resident. They will conduct a search and bring regular reports to serious applicants.

How to Develop Strong

Vetting Skills:

  • Who do we want to live with

  • How do they live peacefully

  • How do they work as a team

  • What kind of habits are we willing to live with?

  • What qualities are we looking for?

  • Will they make a commitment to the Co-op as a long-term project?

  • What about pets, relatives, and visitors?

  • What are people's pet peeves, and how can we accommodate each other so we can live in peace?

  • What about their relationship with money?

  • How do we make decisions?

  • The list goes on, but we'll develop good vetting skills together (BEFORE WE MOVE IN TOGETHER)  So there are no surprises.
